PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

SAN DIEGO BREW FEST

With 70 breweries and 150 beers, you’ll want to venture out of the Inland Empire for the San Diego Brew Fest this month. Returning to Liberty Station in San Diego, the 7th annual Brew Fest will be filled with local and international craft beers, food trucks, music, and fun. Admission is $45 for general admission (1-4PM) and $55 for VIP (12-4PM).

DESERT ARTS FESTIVAL

The Desert Arts Festival will feature 100 artists presenting their original work in all mediums of two and three dimensional fine. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase. In addition to fine art, fine crafts will also be presented. Festival attendees will find blown glass, turned wood, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, stained glass, and an array of high-quality crafts.

ANNUAL DESERT WOMAN’S SHOW

The annual Desert Woman’s Show shines the spotlight on women’s issues while focusing on spring fashions and accessories, home décor, nutrition and fitness, personal development and Chef samplings. The event will feature over 50 exhibitors with local products and services, food offerings, wine samplings and more. This year will cover topics such as Stem Cells Demystified, Myths and Truths of Organic Foods, and a Hawaiian Fusion Cooking Class.

2016 HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS WALK

Sign up and join the 8th Annual County of San Bernardino Coalition Against Sexual Exploitation Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Walk. This year’s walk will be held at the Ontario Airport Hotel and Conference center. Day of the event check-in begins at 9 AM, 10 AM there will be special speakers and the walk begins at 11 AM.

FREE ENTRANCE DAYS IN THE NATIONAL PARKS

The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the 127 national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. This is your chance to check out Joshua Tree National Park free of charge.  Experience the dark night skies, rich cultural history, and surreal geologic features for yourself over the holiday weekend.

STAR PARTY AT THE MONUMENT

The Astronomical Society of the Desert will conduct “sky tours” and direct observations of the night sky through telescopes and giant binoculars at the Held at the National Monument Visitor Center in Palm Desert, the Star Party is hosted by the Astronomical Society of the Desert. RSVP for free to secure a spot and if you’d like, make a donation to support the protection of the Coachella Valley Desert.

WOMEN’S MARCH

The Women’s March Inland Empire will be held rain or shine in downtown Riverside. The organizers of the event will be marching not only for Women’s rights as human rights but also the rights of others and the well-being of the community. The focus of the event is on political engagement as a vehicle to create a positive change in the local community.

SOUTHWEST ARTS FESTIVAL®

This year’s festival will feature interactive art, with pottery, glass blowing and fine art painting scheduled to be on display. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food and beverage options while casually walking the grounds to the subtle sounds of jazz music. Last year’s the festival featured over 249 artists from around the world and was recognized as one of the Top 100 Events in North America by Travel Magazine.

RIVERSIDE LUNAR FESTIVAL

Visitors in Downtown Riverside will be transported to the beauty of the magnificent Ancient Orient, beginning with a Spectacular Parade of Nations, and then Traditional Asian Music, Taiko Drums, Dance Performances, Art Displays and Day-Long Demonstration of Martial Arts, Anime Cosplayers and a range of Asian Cultural displays of various kinds conducted by community and professional groups alike, throughout the day on four separate stages. There will be a free kid’s arts and crafts village and festivities throughout the day.
